Not my fav. Well made, decent bright dark fruits, well balanced..perhaps just too tight? Was fine but definitely not a classic old world Rioja, and without much complexity at this point- not sure if there will be more with 5-8 yrs cellaring.

Great salt tempranillo fruit on the nose. And great structure, great power, and very hard edged on the finish. This one is bound for the cellar.
Remelluri is the oldest vine growing area in Rioja. Its a single clos. The Lindes means borders and its a single vineyard / village wine but right now that is illegal. So "San Vicente" is a single village. This is 12 different growers all from San Vicente. This is closer to the Ebro and makes for a richer more powerful wine.
There are two Lindes wines, vinified exactly the same, about 12 months in French oak, 25% American, all 3rd year oak on the Lindes.
Remelluri was a blend but now its a single clos because of these two additional wines. 90 to 100 year old vines. World Heritage site as well.

Cherry/licorice Twizler on the nose. Lushly textured with faint tannins. More fruit than expected overall.

Sweet and roasty oak. The chill is bringing up the wood on the wine and not doing it any favors. BUt still delicious.
