We really enjoyed this Petite Sirah with our spicy smoked turkey Pozole Verde. It was great drinking on its own with dusty and brambly red raspberry fruit, cedar, smokiness and a dry lingering finish. The fruit and cedar really popped with the food and provided a great counterbalance with the spices 🔥🌶️

This wine is in an excellent place right now. Has an very aromatic nose. Nicely balanced with ripe plum, blueberry and fig fruits, freshly cut cedar and white pepper. The lengthy smooth finish is flavorful and dry with medium tannins. While in a great place now, we see this wine drinking well for a few more years. We enjoy this with our homemade smoked turkey enchiladas.

Black cherry, plum, tar, blackberry, black pepper. Medium-full body. Medium acidity & dusty tannins. Medium-long finish. Went well with spaghetti with meat sauce. At or near peak.

Blackberry, plum, tar, cigar box, dried herbs. Medium-full body. Medium acidity. Medium-minus, dusty tannins. Medium-long finish. It’s in its drinking window now, but might improve, depending on your preferred style.

The last one is always the best one; and this bottle was no exception. The very dark inky bottle display tastes of many fruits, that were all delicious. VA never disappoints, and this one was no exception. Thanks for the memories; and the taste.

Decanted about 3 hours. Quite a bit of sediment in the bottle. Opaque, crimson red, but not inky. Blackberries, macerated black plum skins, dried thyme, cigar box. Full-minus body. Medium, dusty tannins. Medium-plus acidity. Medium-long finish. It went well with 24-hour short ribs. This wine is good now, but I think it will continue to improve as the tannins and acidity continue to integrate. 90-91

Steaks on the grille but didn't feel like a cab. So what to choose? Petite Syrah from King Vincent!! Always earthy, always flavorful, and always delivers. Thank you Vincent Arroyo!!

Decanted for an hour. This wine has improved since our last bottle from almost a year ago. Notes of dark blackberry and plum are deep and rich with a lingering finish. Almost a 91.

This was a great follow up to the Rioja and big Malbec with it dark jammy fruit, pepper mid-palate and lush tannic finish.

When you open the bottle and get what you expect--you've got a winner.
Consistent, consistent, consistent.

Good drink, BUT...
I think that it needs more time, so I'm prepared to do it--we'll see.

Amazing nose but the acidity needs to mellow. Will let this age until 2016 or later to try again.
