We had this with apricot lamb chops on 12/7/08. It had a wonderful and very powerful bouquet of cassis, plum, espresso, chocolate, leather and smoke aromas. It was very dry, sour and mildly tannic on the palate with flavors of black currant, cherry, plum, leather, smoke and mocha. It had a long 50 second finish, was exceedingly complex and thoroughly enjoyable.

Spanish dinner at Think Cafe (Chicago, IL): Inky purple in color. Expressive nose has black licorice, dark fruits, spice and herbs. Full bodied palate has rich, velvety fruits and a low acid profile.
