PnP, but definitely improved with air. The color was a medium violet. The nose showed lots of bright red and dark red fruits, some earth, and a touch of cola. All of these followed on to the medium bodied palate, with the cola being a bit more pronounced, and the acidity balancing. Could hold for a couple of years. A good solid Pinot, but not one of our favorites.

PnP. Medium light red. Spicy, smoky nose with a slightly volatile quality - unusual. Good flavors of red fruits on the palate with some significant fine tannins present, which extend the finish. I'm not sure where this wine is going, either through an awkward phase, or beginning to crack up - good also be a bad bottle. May cleanup tomorrow.

Complex nose of raspberries, licorice, cedar, and dark cherries. Blood orange, tart cherries, and dark berries on the palate with grippy tannins and good structure. Long finish. This is amazing!

This is a nice, smooth, easy to drink wine. I can’t find any faults, and for a Pinot noir it is delicious. However, I simply prefer a more complex wine with tannins and a chewier mouth-feel. If you are a Pinot Noir drinker I give it the green light.

PnP. Medium red. Initially there is a distinct smoky character to the nose which fades followed by spice and a tea note. This lovely depth and balance on the palate with a "going down like water" quality which I recall from bottles of this vineyard before it was replanted. Clearly still quite primary and young but still drinking nicely. This will age for a long time given the depth of fruit and balance.

Over four nights, gassed and refrigerated in between: A surprisingly pronounced cola smell and taste persisted throughout. Is this characteristic of this vineyard? It was beautifully balanced, and held very well over the four nights (we skipped #3), and was most enjoyable, and increasingly complex, on the last. We will wait a few years to open its sibling.

Pure red fruit - very much a CA Chambolle. Harmonious and ready to drink but a long life ahead.

Aromatics with ripe red cherries, floral, and spice notes which evolve on the silky palate and long finish.
