A good Sonoma pinot noir, considering its age. Beautiful color, the nose( once it emerged -15 minutes in the glass) was classic SC PN; some of the bright fruit on the palate was gone but a nice cherry/ripe red currant sensation on the palate with a pleasant spice on the finish. There was enough acidity to pair nicely with grilled chicken breast and smoked pork loin basted in a tart cherry sauce.

Red fruits and flowers on the nose. The red fruits carry over to the palate -- primarily dark cherry, with some raspberry and a hint of strawberry -- with a nice mineral core. Good concentration and acid; this speaks very much to Sonoma Coast terroir, but it's more balanced/restrained than many of its brethren, clocking in at 13.3% abv. Very nice stuff; this was my gateway wine to Zepaltas and it's holding up nicely.

Great wine, sorry to see the last one go. The sonoma coast wines always show a bit more character for me. Glad to have some SVs from more recent vintages.

This showed beautifully the two days it was under assault, I had to try like hell to make it to day two. Very floral spiced nose, orange peel earth palate, distinctive mineral laden finish. I feel I caught this one at it's prime.

Bright fruity tart cherry nose. Light bodied, elegant, good acid spine, just noticeable gentle tannins towards the end. Palate has tart red cherries. Delicious now. BYO at Copper Kitchen in SLC.

Wanted an early peak at 2012 and the non-vineyard designate seemed the way to go. Decanted and consumed over 5 hours. Pours a pale reddish purple. Some smokey aromas (oak?). Bright, clean profile. Crisp.

Chery cola, but not enough acidity or earthy notes to balance out. Overall, not bad but too sweet for my palate.

Dee-lite. Ruby red fruit totally ripe but with graceful restraint, a muscular but lithe body, and a liitle baking spice goodness. Dee-lish.

Good. Not quite excellent. Still a bit syrupy but better than the last bottle. A small bit of spice but still primary red fruit. Not much nose.

A bit early to open this one. Still primarily red fruit. Not much balance just yet. Hoping my remaining bottles develop over time.

Tasty and light and elegant as usual. No score or real note as drank out of bad stems with too many people at Buck's as byo.
