Dark purple color with aromas of cocoa and cedar forest. Flavors of black-raspberry with a tingle of dark chocolate, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Medium bodied (a little strange for Malbec) The wine is a little one note, not complex, but still good.

This has totally hit its stride. Decanted. Beautiful core of sweet cherry and tobacco, and a slight resinous note. On the palate, shows much nicer acidity than last time with more cherry. Tannins have softened very nicely and leave a nice hint of structure on the finish. Enjoyable and uncomplicated.

Decanted and drank over a couple of hours. This was almost black in the decanter and dark red/almost purple in the glass. A hint of green pepper and lots of dark fruits on the nose..maybe some dark chocolate and some toast. On the palate, rather high toned acidity, and lighter than I expected given the color..tending toward the thin end of its style..reminded me of some 2011 Washington Syrah I've had recently more than a malbec. A hint of pepper and a vanishingly small amount of tannin on the finish.
With time, perhaps the acidity will soften a bit and there is still ample fruit, but I'm not sure this is structured to age.

After decanting for an hour, picked up dark fruits and molasses on the nose. Initial taste of dark fruits are nicely balanced with soft tannins that provide satisfying structure and a pleasant finish. Served with an herb crusted prime rib, and it held its own.

Had with a nice steak.
Very good wine - wish it was not my last bottle.

This has mellowed a bit after the years in the bottle, but paired nicely with duck breast.

Good but young, needs a bit more time & hopefully the flavor so will become a bit more interesting vs just juicy

Spicy and pure. Darn. Quite good wines here. Pricy but worth it.
