Quite mute at the nose at the opening, with some confused and disarmonic notes. More interesting at the palate with some fruit, savoury earth, and a mouthfilling sensation. But after at least half and hour and - better - after one hour, this Pinot Noir opens up and what seemed to be a little bit rustic and lacking the expected elegance becomes armonic and pleasant as expected, showing a solid backbone In a slow and boring evening in these strange endless covid times.89/90

This is worth in the region of £40 at least based on its characteristics. Great value. Fruit, savoury earth, and a pronounced perfume combine to a harmonious experience. Very translucent, more than usual for Pinot. Savoury nature seems minerality driven, almost like volcanic soil. Decent tannins and good acidity add structure. Very good.

Very good value. Drank in comparison with a 2005 Charmes-Chambertin. It was very fruity with strawberries leading the way. Very easy drinking with not much complexity at all which didn’t bother me at this price point. Re-ordering.

Very pretty wine with strawberry and earth on the nose which carries through to the palate. Slight minerality and very well balanced acidity is present. Medium to light mouth feel and medium finish. This wine represents a very good value, and a good introduction to red burgundy.

Black cherry and plum fruit notes. Earthy with an iron touch. Best with food.
