Good purity and concentration of fruit with some slightly meaty undertones. Ripe and dark red cherries, strawberry jam and cranberries come to the fore with peppermint and cinnamon coming through. Pretty and perfumed with a nice elegant style but lacking a bit of complexity and finish was a tad short for me. Great value though for the plot!

Very nice and aged wine, but not living up to grand cru standard (and price) for me. Nice fruit and secondary flavors but misses some complexity and length.

93. This showed quite advanced for the year. Earthy, musty, dark fruit, very Morey, some sour cherry in the mix as well. Good, but I like their 2012 Bonnes Mares much more.

Popped in AM and decanted in afternoon. Was approaching ready at dinner but better next day. Next time would open night before and decant in AM. Will defer to cognoscenti on notes.

Opens with wet autumn leaves, cement, potpourri, peppermint. cinnamon, vanilla and roasted chestnut like oak still not fully integrated. beautiful light weight texture that still carries the intensely black cherry, plum like fruit. then there is a bit of tar like minerality accented by some dusty old book like floral perfume. long long finish.

Clearly Grand Cru, as the nose and delineation of flavors makes this very clear from the start. Exceptional balance, poise, depth, and while not profound, this bottle is singing and a good value at $90/bottle. Underrated producer with a lighter touch and more “feminine” style. Dark cherry, spices, great overall balance, worth buying more from the Lignier stable.

Medium plus ruby red. On opening, scents of sappy cherry, oak, and slight earth. It opened up beauuuuutifully after about 2 hours, and was absolutely singing with mint, minerals, sweet cherry, and a pleasant application of oak. Great breadth and depth, long finish. Lovely stuff.

Light to medium red. Beautiful, deep red fruit on the nose. Medium weight. Great, sappy red fruit with a bit of the structure that the Morey shows. It could use more acidity. Not profound but certainly very, very good.
