Tasted at Pogos. Good to be in northern rhone after s. rhone wines. Bright raspberry, strawberry, cherry with meats, herbs, stone. Nice acids with good tannic structure and weight underneath. Not heavy at all but really good structure. Nice finish. Well done St. Joseph. This I can really drink.

Medium ruby. Some herbal, blackberry tones. Medium weight, tart black fruit, slight herbaceousness and moderate tannins. Approachable now. Not particularly moving.

This wine was totally shut down when popping the cork. Flat on the notes, very sour in the mouth. Left alone for one day... same profile. Two days... same. Forgot about it, or better to say that I really did not want to come back to it. Then, two weeks later (no vacuvin, no fridge, just the cork)... wine is very nice. It has a clear Syrah profile, you can maybe feel a bit of oxidation notes in the mouth, but clearly the wine is well stuffed.
This wine has to be a disgrace for a restaurant or a wine drinker that cannot wait until it is ready to drink which I think will be in decades more than years.

Meaty on the nose. Earthy, leathery, astringent, spice box. Very little fruit. Stewed prunes.
