Absolutely gorgeous Grenache that is drinking perfectly right now. When the partner says, "I know I am going to love this wine from the first sniff.", you know it's something special. Totally, seamlessly integrated with raspberry and cherry notes, some Asian spice, smoky bbq and a hint of white pepper. The finish had silky tannins and minerals unfolding for a solid minute.

Still holding on, but fading fast. This note os for two bottles drunk over the last month or so (a library purchase at the Jet City location late this summer) One was far past prime - pruny and diminished. The second was right on the razor's edge of being too far gone, but beautifully faded in a way that only 100% Grenache can be. This is a good bell weather for this wine - 5-7 years seems to be the sweet spot for aging. Drink 'em if you've got 'em!
An exuberant Grenache, with plums and cherries and a hint of eucalyptus. Great with the sage/pancetta/breadcrumb stuffed mushrooms we had as appetizers...

This wasn't as good as I was expecting for the price. As others have noted, it was a very thin & light wine. To some extent, this seems to be a characteristic of the grape (at least, from what I have tasted so far). However, I have had a few with a little more body. I thought that the fruit (light red) was stronger than it needed to be. Also didn't have much in the way of tannins or acidity (would have benefited a little from both). Overall, wouldn't buy again for the price. Hopefully the Syrah's from K Vintners are better since I bought a few.

Wine was a tad thin but surprisingly more fruit than I was expecting. Came across as a bit wild with flavors a bit all over the board. Finish needs a bit of help but not bad.

Drank this on our first night of vacation in the Adirondacks. While we are big fans of The Boy grenache (previous vintages), this one was only ok for us. Granted this is young however it is very fruit forward right now and a little on the sweet side. Dominated by notes of cherry compote. There are some earthy notes in the background that I hope will emerge over time. I have two more bottles and will hold for at least 2 years to see if the fruit backs off and other flavors begin to emerge.

Initially appeared thin, as transparent and light cherry color. Aerated and brought out sweet peppery flavors and some complexity. A nice drink and not a varietal I've tried too many times as a stand alone, but a very different appearance/flavor profile from a syrah or cabernet, so may not appeal to many. Overall I enjoyed it but at $50 overpriced IMO.

This is really good grenache. Super young currently, but with air delicious. The nose is initially quite closed, but with vigorous swirling you can coax lots of ripe red berry fruit, floral notes, hints of spice, and a little anise. The palate is ripe and rich, yet maintains a nice freshness, great balance, and is just delicious. I think with 8-10 years of bottle age this will be fantastic. Had at a restaurant.

Day one, bright red fruit was really out upfront. Rich, sweet fruit, but not just a fruit bomb, thoroughly enjoyable. Day two had integrated a little more, and showed more depth, spice, floral notes, and some of that overbearing plushness fading. Day three was my jam, minerality almost completely taking over with fruit in the back seat. Still there, but kinda tired and just chilling while crushed black stone, coffee, and chocolate took the wheel.

Pretty stunning after three hours in the decanter. A totally beguiling soft, almost transparent hue, but it is jam packed w/ flavor. So upset that it was our only bottle!

Delicious Grenache from K Vintners. Decanted about an hour before consuming. Light in color but packed with flavor. Nose was an interesting mix of floral notes, minerals and a solid whiff of white pepper. Medium-bodied and redolent of raspberries, the wine finished with spice (clove-ish?), roses and vanilla, almost sweet but bone dry. More pepper in the finish that lingered for full 30 seconds.

Pours transparent almost akin to a rose but don't let that fool you for a moment. The nose is spicy raspberry with a hint of white pepper. The mid palate is weighty and the finish is super rich with an intensely sweet raspberry and savory white pepper and vanilla. A very rich and decadent Grenache.

Extremely fruity but just not 100% right. Something was a little off.

Good wine, but not worth th price in my opinion. Not very complex, a bit warm on the finish. Not a buy.

Double decanted then served day 2.
Pretty fading rose color. Light berry and spice scent. Crushed dark red fruit compote, lightly peppered and soft, fine grain tannin finish.
