A bit long in the tooth now, waited too long for my palate. I am not a fan of aged white burgs, but some are. still a very good finish, just not the flavor profile I prefer.

Drinking at the "top of it's game." Well-balanced re. fruit, acidity, minerality. Paired well with a hearty chicken soup, but could match even better with heartier fare.

Last bottle of 3.....best yet! KILLER chalky minerals, wonderful crusty honey, lemons/stones, hazelnut toffee.......no signs of pox at all. A perfect bottle of this wine.

TN: Burgundy vs. U.S Pinot Noir blind tasting....plus a dozen others!!! (Buzzini House): Second bottle in a week...this showed better than the first, no signs of premox, but compared to the 2002 Domaine Michelot Mère & Fille Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières...it was more oaked and less focused, not much "Meursault" to it. I did like the baked apple, lemon cut, and some mineral stone...but then I'd taste the Michelot again, and want more of that. Hard to believe same Vineyard, same year, different results.

Darker golden in color, very shy nose of pear, honey, lemon wax. Showing a little premox. In the mouth, creamy pear/apricot/baked apple fruit....slight sherry, but just a touch....nice lemon mineral cut, honey butter, toasted marshmallow, floral spice. If this was domestic, it would be on life support.....the minerals and acidity really keep it up, and makes no mistake it's from Burgundy. Tasty, but just expected a little more from a Genevrières from '02. I've had the '02 Village wine...and it was better. No signs of premox in it. This wine, I'm afraid, might be stricken? I've got 2 more bottles to check out....we'll see.

If anything, wine has improved over past year.

Everything in balance. Great mineral, citrus, fruit balance. Sadly the last.

Beautiful wine. Holding very well. No hints yet of oxidation.
