I was nonplussed and underwhelmed. Overpriced at $17 for the half bottle. Some flavour but not that impressive. Will not buy again, at least not for more than around $13 for a half bottle.

The drinking window currently states that it closes in 2018. This is hard to believe. Also, I paid $17 for a half bottle. I assume this is overpriced, ¿no?

Decanted ~1 hr. Medium-medium ruby with crimson, very slow moving legs @13.9% abv. Medium aromas of barnyard, ash, burnt coffee, no fruit. Dry, medium(+) acidity, low tannin, medium(+) alcohol and medium body. Medium-medium(+) flavors of cherries, cherry flavored travel lozenges, raspbery jam, and savory notes. Leathery texture, balanced. Good length with frut-driven finish which feature sweetness of fruit sugars. Remarkable disconnect between nose and palate.

Slightly reduced start with plenty of ripe red and black berry aromas and flavors. Good, robust flavors, easy to enjoy, but a bit oaky and also a bit sweet.

Not sure if I like this wine or not. Upon open, very oaky and vanilla-ry(sp?). If I didn't know what this was, on the nose I'd think it was a zin or a new world cab sauv. Since I really liked the 2012 King Estate Acorobat for its old-world, earthy nuances, I thought for sure I'd love the Signature. Not so much after first taste. Over subsequent 5 days, pretty consistent notes. Held up well, but never showed any characteristics that make me want to purchase for cellar.

I think willy must have gotten a bad bottle. I just had the 2012 signature pinot noir from King Estate and it was quite good. No sulfur problems. I suggest trying this one again. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.

Even after breathing for 10 minutes and a clean pallet, the wine was undrinkable. The grapes may have been excellent as it is difficult to find a bad Pinot Noir from the Willamette, but the sulphur was so intense the wine was poured down the sink. It was a 2012 which may demand a longer rest period, but this was an embarrassment for a respected label. Extremely disappointing for a $30 investment. I will try one of their other Pinot labels for 2012 [Domaine or Acrobat] before avoiding anything from this vintner.

Burnt coffee, chocolate and barnyard opening up to a small amount of dark fruit.

Just as I had described before. I don't think the wine benefited from further aging. Great QPR.

Prominant red berry fruit, but not too strong. Moderate acidity and soft tannins. Very good for the subregion and for the price.
