  • Iintensely smoky, fireplace, a bit of sulphur, minerality. Strongly resembles Raveneau Chablis to me. Deep, quite complex taste, not an oxidative style one would expect from Colares, this is clean and modern in a way but with a profound depth and refinement.
Unripe nectarine, green pear peal, firm backbone which hints at oak, but not sure. Seems to come from warm climate, as alcohol is noticeable, but it could also come from concentration due to old vines.
Minerality and saltiness, slight herbal and nettle notes on the nose. Excellent wine.

  • Creamed corn and latex and a huge midpalate weight perfectly offset by just enough acid. Buy all you can. Menthol allusions on finish, but no heat at all. Daaaamn
