Suitable for a certain time and place. Very well made. Dried ripe pear on the nose, with a weak background minerality on the palate. Backpalate acid adds some crispness to the sweet fruit. Outdoor autumn lunch next to a fire.

drank alongside 7 other (apple) ciders with Indian Dinner at Bhatti. Drank at end of meal. Low alcohol (4%). Immediate nose of pear, clean, crisp but with medium ssweetness. Nice match, but a bit overwhelmed with the stronger spiced dishes; bet with the meats. We all agreed that indian spices require medium sweet+ ciders.

I enjoyed this but Ann didn't, surprisingly. Slightly sweet but there is nice acidity. Fresh clean pear flavors with some minerality. I probably won't buy again, but this is well made.

Golden color; nose has fresh pear, clean nose; palate is surprisingly dry, clean, fresh and refreshing, light bodied and without the density that sugar provides in cheaper ciders; finish is short-medium. A very interesting style, and perhaps more elegant or refined than his entry level pear cider, though fans of sweeter cider may prefer that over the Granit. 90, drink now. Interesting to try once, though at >$20 I won't be stocking this in large quantities.

Fantastic perry with lovely bouquet of fresh fruit on the nose & a mostly-but-not-completely-dry palate. Really good fresh pear fruit w/ good acid. Just lovely stuff!

interesting nose of musty pears and green apple...straw colored and slightly carbonated...fresh fruit quickly gives way to a sour pucker finish...while there was some restraint on the sweetness, this is still better as an aperitif...was expecting a more subtle and refined product given the hype that surrounds EB's oenology-like efforts using heirloom pears from 150 year old trees...but hey, i'm no cider afficionado...worth a try if you are looking for something out of left field that unfortunately doesn't reach home plate in my opinion

Hard to tell the difference from last night's Authentique. Maybe a tad drier?

A favourite in our house for good reason. Super clean pear aromas and a fine textured mouthfeel.

A very fine bead. Lovely floral and pear aromas. Flavours are delicate and fantastic as an aperitif.
No drinking window has been advised, but can be kept a few years without worry. Delicious now.
