This vibrant, pale yellow wine serves up citrus peel, melon and dried herbs, accented by a note of papaya (which is attributable to the dollop of Sémillon added to the final blend). Despite being listed as a heady 14.8%, the alcohol lurks quietly in the background and does not detract from the varietal correctness of this wine. Solid in the middle and concluding with a medium-length, tangy finish, this is a "poster child" for the California Sauvignon Blanc style. Drink now-2017

Pale yellow, intensely aromatic and crisply acidic, this Sauvignon Blanc shows nice varietal character on both the nose and palate. Citrus peel, melon, white flowers and lemongrass are accented by a note of papaya (which is attributable to the dollop of Sémillon added to the final blend). The alcohol is numerically impressive (14.8%) but is so nicely integrated that it is a non-factor. Solid in the middle and medium-length on the back end, this is archetypal California Sauvignon Blanc which sells at a reasonable price. Enjoy it over the next year or two. Drink now-2017.

Cut grass, gooseberry and tropical notes. Smooth, tart finish. Passable.

Tropical fruit and orange zest on the nose. Lots of minerality, maybe too much for the style and an off flavor of petrol.

Not my style of wine. Seems too hot on the alcohol and too much oak. Uninspiring.
