Medium color and medium light bodied but rich plum fruit, red cherry and tar. Classic Baarlo profile with griipy tannins. Balanced but still young with more potential to be realized. Drink now or hold.

Perfect Thanksgiving wine. Decanted ~4 hours prior to serving. This has a tremendous amount of life ahead of it. With the decant, it was starting to hit its stride right around serving time, but the last glasses, roughly 6 hours after opening, were the best, and I suspect that it would have continued to improve. Structure and acidity to punch through Cornish hens, roasted veg and stuffing. Aromatic and supple. Will try to let the remaining bottle age for another 10 years.

Medium color and medium light bodied but rich plum fruit, red cherry and tar. Grippy tannins. Better integrated today than 2 years ago. Better on day 2; drink now after long decant or hold.

This bottle would have benefited from a long decant. Medium color and bodied but rich plum fruit and some cherry; a bit primary and certainly still tannic. All the pieces are there, but I would hold my next bottle until 2020 to allow the elements to better integrate.

Thirsty Games (Jason's House): This wine ALSO probably should have been decanted, and it wasn't. Still, it tastes surprisingly mature for only being 6 years old. Great complexity, but unfriendly to drink, with high acid. Unscored for now.

Très beau Nebbiolo, traditionnel avec ses arômes d'eau de vie de cerise et d'herbes fraîches. Dense, assez tannique, la finale est à la fois aérienne mais capiteuse, le vin titrant 14,5.

{Visit to Oddero}. Going to go with the underlined portions of my note as I sat at Oddero and tasted through this wine:
Holy smokes (I mean wow, just wow) on the nose. Classico color with an appealing tawny rim (the color of the tawny is dazzling like the nose). Speaking of nose, it's quite full, leaning towards raspberries and cherries at the moment. Where this really shines though is in the mouth - it's really very special. Silky, powerful yet weightless. HUGE mid-palate; very long, extra juicy, really tasty, . 14,5% abv., highly recommended
(from magnum, second day juice)
