Better than the last couple of bottles. Tasted 2+ hours after opening and it seemed bigger and more powerful than before. Fair fruit, still. Plenty of body and character with slight medicinal hints (dare I say ‘Germolene’?) on the middle/late palate. OK with a beef dish but past its best. Can't really put a number on it. This wine was much, much better next day. Rich, smooth, good with food. I have not changed my original note but have now given the wine a numerical rating. It is not yet too old!

deep plum and woody notes. no sign of tiredness in this bottle and enough structure to cellar a few more years. Only slightly negative point is that the 14.5% alcohol is a little too evident when initially drinking

Wasn’t until 3rd day after opening that I enjoyed this Initially this shows mint and deep, (over?) extracted fruit. Used a glass for cooking while opened other bottle to drink Same on day 2 so left to day 3 by which it had rounded a bit with the menthol having faded, the fruit is still deep, and at risk of touching stewed note from standing around but easily drinkable Bit of a puzzling one this as still seems quite primary despite being 8years from vintage. Will hold on further to see if anything happens to my remaining two

Further to my comment of 15 Sept., we tried another bottle. It was reasonable but had lost much of the sweet fruit and complexity we had enjoyed in earlier years. OK with food but a shadow of its former self IMO. It did not improve after 24h. Drink up.

This bottle showed fruit that was less sweet and it was less immediately approachable than earlier bottles, even 3-4 hours after opening. Still good but the vegetal notes were more evident to me (almost a trace of 'parsnip'). My wife just got cherries (with bitter cherry notes) so perhaps it is just me. I think this is ready to drink up but after previous tastings, it could just be an odd bottle. Better with food later. Time will tell......

Last tasted in 2017. Disappointing at first - some bottle stink and some stalkiness on the end palate. However, given time, it opened and improved. The fruit is still there and the acidity and balance are good. It improved markedly with time. Once again, please do not pop and pour - it needs at least 3-4 hours to stretch its legs. I will taste another bottle soon to see if this bottle is typical.

My tasting slightly hindered by a cold but merlot fruit of plum and cherry showed through. Based on experience with 2007 vintage I'd think this will develop more secondaries thus elevating this further

Opaque red. Attractive nose with cherries and spice after a couple of hours (much better than when first opened). Rich, deep dark cherry flavours with hints of Maraschino on the palate together with spice. Good balance and acidity. Good with food. Not the over-sweet over-extracted Merlot that is common from Chile. Give it time to open - don't pnp and expect it to show at its best. I'm happy to let the rest of my stock mature further.

PnD 2/3 bottle let air for 1hr. Dark dense purple almost opaque with a violet rim.plum cassis touch of vanilla and the telltale Chilean green cedar note on the nose. Medium weigh with nicely polished tanins and a touch of green tea grip. Plum cassis blackberry sage vanilla and a peppery note on the palate. Big flavours nice complexity with some finesse. Great value. Lots of life ahead. The WS drinking window is too short I think.

Deep dark purple red in color with an amazing bright fruity nose of herbaceous purple fruits nicely infused with a mild touch of fine oak. This wine is quite brawny and full of tannins on the palate yet quite delicious despite the big alcohol (14%). Its got flavours of candied purple fruits, boiled pork, dried herbs, Asian spices, champoy powder, damp earth, a bit of rubber tire and a hint of iodine all wrapped up in a nice thin coat of vanilla oak. This is an amazing wine of great quality at a very good price.

very very dark colour, deep purple, opaque core spicy nose, dark oak, plums full-bodied, quite a bit of tannin but super ripe SAvoury, meaty, plenty of acidity In a very ripe, extracted, modern style but well-balanced Spicy, Needs rich food or keep for a couple of years. I'd love to try this in 5 years. It's a serious wine
