Fizzy and salmon colored. Nose of berries and grass. Taste is strawberries and white pepper that blends into a citric acid finish. Nice and refreshing.

In the category of: good, for the price (~$10). Upon first opening there was a cheesy/yeasty note that was interesting but not entirely pleasant, but by the second day that had mellowed. The frizzante level of carbonation was great, as was the acidity, both of which make this somewhat different than the typical rose wine.

Bright pink with strawberry, watermelon, and rhubarb. Not sweet but, compared to rosé de Province, seems sweet because of fruit. More gas than regular viño verde but not as crisp. Second bottle a year later was much more crisp and refreshing. Increased score.

Vivid strawberry in color, this wine revealed red apple, strawberry compote and rhubarb on the nose. The mouth feel brought high acidity with effervesence, minerals and hints of watermelon rind. The finish brought more effervesence and a refreshing, high-acid tone. 10% abv.
Purchased for $10US, this is an ideal aperitif with its low abv and slightly sparkling tone. Recommended to drink as cold as possible for maximum flavor.
Imported by Broadbent Selections, Sonoma, CA.

Memorial Day BBQ w/ LT, KF, PK, MB. Light bodied, medium acid, slight frizzante, light sweetness (maybe 10g). Light raspberry on the nose. Lower acid than I’d like - I think the white is crisper.

Broadbent Selections (Musar, +++) (Western Reserve Wines): Everyone kept saying that they didn't like Rose but this was not bad. It is definitely more than not bad, but I get what they meant. I don't recall having a Vinho Verde Rose before. It is interesting. There is still the spritz, in fact, stronger than the white. No idea of the vintages used. Light pink in color with slight copper. On the nose, this has rhubarb and strawberries. No visible bubbles, but on the palate, a definite spritz. Refreshing. no bitterness. Not a lot of fruit on the palate, more mineral drive. Clean. At $10, another great value.

Paul's birthday (Home (Noe st)): Moderate plus pink with some salmon and peach color. Slight grapefruit, slight ripe peach, almost a bit of herbaceousness as well. Fresh nose. Significant frizzante, extremely fresh palate, low alcohol, elevated acid, light body, no bitterness. Moderate length! So refreshing

Broadbent Vinho Verde, Port, Madeira: 40% Borracal, 30% Espadeiro, 20% Amaral, 10% Vinhao Moderately concentrated vibrant pink in the glass. Light and aromatic. Fresh breeze of distant strawberry jam. Very light but slightly sweet on the palate, tastes like ~3-5g RS (actually 14 g/L ? is that a typo?). Distinct frizzante (CO2 is injected at bottling). Low alcohol (10%), elevated acid.
Similar to the regular Vinho Verde - uncomplicated and refreshing.

I'm not super thrilled. Most of what I get is a carbon dioxide/seltzer flavor. Yes there is a barely discernible amount of very mild red fruit that does not get much of a chance to express itself. It is super crisp, refreshing and mouth cleansing. Wish there was more fruit. At the finish, there is a little more strawberry.

Rose with a slight effervescence. Lots of peach and other stone fruit with some tangerine Lifesaver notes on the finish. I really like this even though I'd probably score it pretty low. It lacks any sort of depth and is about as far removed from an intelligent wine as it gets, but it's cheap and fun, a great porch wine.

Pale pink. Very slight effervescence. Honeysuckle, melon on the nose. Bit of residual sugar. Very nice, typical Portuguese vinho verde rose.
