Fruit cocktail nose with some tropical notes thrown in. That carries over on the palate. This seems a little more rounded than previous bottles, still there is decent acidity. Pretty good and Ann likes it, too.

Haven't had a Riesling in a while and this hit the spot. Some slate and hints of petrol, citrus and light tropical fruits. Fairly concentrated but lively because of a solid dose of acidity. Pretty tasty. Ann liked it too.

Peach, kerosene, chaky-slate with melon rind; sweet green apple candy, floral, intense and extracted; very floral with a nod to Malvasia; super dry. 12%. This is a supposed "village" GG.

Very nice mid-priced riesling. Tastes better day two when all the minerals, lime and the flowery notes are much more intense. Also the bitter ending is long gone.

Pronounced minerality, dark, saline, tart, quite uncompromising. I liked it and with a couple of years of bottle age this should really blossom out. 89-90+

Super-lemony, high acidity, tart and young, some sulphur on the nose, a bit closed, might still need some time in bottle. - 89 points

Leftovers from Ann's tasting with her workout group (Our house, Kennett square, PA): This is lively and bright with lime, citrus, wet slate, and something faint and orange like unripe mango or tangerine on the finish. Tasty.

This is tasty. Intense, with lime, slightly tropical fruit, and wet slate notes. Ann said saline but I didn't get that. Young but enjoyable.

Day 4 in the Nahe - Donnhoff/Schafer-Frohlich/Emrich-Schoenleber (Nahe - Germany): A very intense, complex dry riesling. Palate had a lot of pear, subtle tropical notes, layers of florals, and a lot of chalky notes. Found this quite appealing.

Fresh, potent, acidic limestone spine underlying white peach, lime, and a bit of apple core fruit. Quite enjoyable.
