From the excellent 2012 Oregon vintage, this wine is evolving nicely. Dark garnet. Fruit and mineral nose. Firm acidity is softening, revealing a nice core of sweet fruit leading to a long still slightly firm finish. Nice Willamette Valley pinot. January 2019 update (note:must let this breathe 1-2 hours; it becomes a different wine): still dark garnet, medium body, noticeable acidity, and nice sweet pure berry/cherry fruit. Starting to develop some pleasant secondary age flavors. If this were a Volnay you’d be delighted!

Last bottle. Shared with Kate at the Beacon. Best one of these yet. Maybe I should have saved them for longer. But they were too delicious along the way. Willamette character is finally beginning to shine through now. So if you have more left, enjoy!

Floral bouquet upon opening, but shifted within 5-7 minutes to rotten egg. Regarding taste, nothing to special... Light Pinot, nothing particularly complex.

Bottle variation continues, but this one is excellent. Very light in body and transparent cherry color to the eye, with thin legs. Subtle on the nose. Then surprisingly, the palate releases a sophisticated complexity of summer berries and subtle spices. A fine choice for sipping fireside while waiting for snow to fall in winter.

I want to like this better than I do. Medium body, dark ruby, nice nose, but the palate tends towards a bitterness at the end that puts me off a bit. Perhaps I should be waiting another 3 or 4 years before trying the next bottle.

Medium-red and clear in the glass. Fairly muted nose with faint cherry, strawberry, and vanilla notes. Similar notes on the palate in addition to cola, and black pepper. Low tannin. Moderate acidity. Appropriate alcohol. Long, strawberry finish that would have been nice, but was accompanied by harsh acidity and/or alcohol.
The wine in this bottle presented some relatively pleasing notes and I would have scored it higher, except generally it seemed thin, dilute and candied. Also, the harsh finish. The wine did seem to be made soundly and honestly, so: 80pts.

Bright, light, tight, alright. Cheery red in the glass, with transparent body, and slim legs. Cherries and spices on the nose, a bit thin at this point of its life. Cherries and blueberries on the palate in a body that is a bit thin, but satisfying. This is an easy drinker that is not complex, nor demanding. It's simplicity is delightful, if not particularly memorable. We'll see what the future holds with more time in my cellar.

This was simple - still had fruit (raspberry and strawberry,), not much complexity. Certainly not offensive and still has some time.

Really nice example of 2012 Willamette Pinot. Intense black cherry nose, tobacco notes. Does not do well with oxidation

Greatly improved bottle relative to last two. Lots of bottle variation. But this was an excellent 2012 Willamette.
