From 75cl, perfect cork, decanted 1 hour. Superripe blackberry/loganberry fruit, medium sweetness, purring tannins, just a touch of vanilla. Lovely wine in its voluptuous style, ready to drink but no hurry. 90-91P

From 75cl, perfect cork. Decanted 1 hour, but it didn't need it. Explosive loganberry fruit, fine Priorat minerality and good acid backbone. Gorgeous purring tannins almost resolved. Fully mature now, good for several years to come. A fine value at 19,50 EUR retail. 91P

Decanted for 5 hours. Primary aromas of blackberry, plum, and fig punch you in the face (in a good way). Some red fruit (strawberry/raspberry) emerges faintly as the wine opens up, but is overshadowed by vanilla and a faint aroma of woodshop floor. Licorice coats your palate and leaves behind traces of game and star anise. Short to medium finish is not disappointing. This wine drinks very well now, but I can't wait to see how it develops over 5-10+ years.

Yikes, this is a tip top qpr. very dark profile, somewhat old world in style but very good concentration at this price point. Mostly carignane. Decant and serve blind. A must try.

From 75cl, perfect cork, decanted 30 minutes. Wow! This is practically unchanged since my TN of 08.09.2014. Super-ripe blackberry essence, a touch of vanilla, forward, friendly style, super-soft luxury-velvet tannins. No hurry. 91P

55% carignan, 35% grenache, 10% Cabernet Powerful nose of ripe black fruit, loads of iodine, warm nose... taste of very ripe black fruit and figues, high acidity of the Carignan

Priorat, Montsant and Rioja; 9/5/2014-9/18/2014: N.B. This is NOT the "Black Slate" bottling, despite at least one mis-posted TN and label photo on this page! 50% Carignan from 70 year-old vines, 40% Grenache, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark red. Heavy, dark, super-ripe loganberry/raspberry/blackberry perfume, almost like a liqueur. This palate is already better integrated than the basic Cal Pla red of the same vintage, with a touch of vanilla, a gorgeous velvety texture, mineral concentration on the mid-palate and ripe tannins giving the long raspberry-jam finish just enough grip to stop it cloying. Terrific now and for 10 years. 12 EUR at cellar door. 90(+)

Priorat, Montsant and Rioja; 9/5/2014-9/18/2014: 60% Grenache, 40% Carinena. Bright red with violet reflexes at the rim. Highly aromatic, slightly gamey scent with sweet raspberry. Open, bright, light, (red-)fruity entry; the mid-palate is lighter than I expected, given this wine's 15% alc. Surprisingly dry, grippy tannins make the finish a bit of a challenge right now. Probably best 2016-2020. 7,50 EUR at cellar door. 88P(+?)

Pretty good wine but the finish really elevates it. I should have bought more.

Impressive wine regardless of price. Outstanding QPR. I'd buy a case if I could find it.
