Opens with a lackluster nose of faint plums. The front palate is dark fruit and cherry with a dusky middle which fades until the late palate picks up alcohol and acidity and maybe a little plum. With food to mute the finishing notes this wine improves but generally nothing special.

A great match for a duck and Toulouse sausage Cassoulet, with the rich dark fruit standing up to this dish. Very smooth, lots of depth, nice touch of acidity and a good long finish.

Aromas of berry fruits and spice, then sweet jammy soft red berries combined with cinnamon notes and a good finish make this an attractive full-bodied style of Zin.

The wine looks inky colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry, black currant (cassis) and plum. It tastes like raspberry, red currant and plum. The body is medium/full. The wine has juicy texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Dark. Smells of cola and oak. It is sweetish, thick, artificially flavoured crap. Rodney Strong used to be a decent winery. They should be embarrassed by this product.
