  • Fruit is dominated by the high acid but with a decant the balance is better Still past its prime. Okay with a moderate spicy Thai curry

  • In a good spot now. Dark red fruit, spice, light oak, certainly a modern style. Tannins are mostly integrated and the wine glides across the palate. Finish is medium long and clean. Not exactly memorable as it seems to be missing depth, but a good wine nonetheless.

  • As others have said, light tannins, nose of red and black fruit with some liquorice. Its a solid, well made, balanced wine. But it didnt rock my boat.

Its not jammy fruit forward sillyness but it needs a little more time (I think). I'll leave my other bottle a few years and see where it ends up.

  • Needs a few more years but still drank well. Grainy tannins. Very strong dark fruit. Mostly dry. Very good with jamon and cheese.

  • The wine is clear and bright with a medium ruby colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of raspberries, strawberries, red plums, liquorice, vanilla and chocolate. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium(+) fine-grained tannins and a medium(+) alcohol. It has a medium(+) body and medium(+) intensity flavours of raspberries, strawberries, red plums, liquorice, vanilla and chocolate. The finish is medium(+).

It is a very good quality wine. It has a very nice fruit concentration and a quite decent finish. It shows a very nice overall balance between fruit concentration and alcohol, supported by tannins, and some degree of complexity provided by oak ageing. However it is not complex enough to be considered outstanding. The wine is too young, it needs 1-2 years more in the bottle to integrate better the fruity and oaky aromas, and it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop a bit more of complexity in the next 3-5 years.
