  • The color was straw yellow with nectarine, honey, and faint apple aromas. I found the lemon and red apple fruit to be somewhat subdued and dry. Found white pepper and oak on the finish. It lacked a buttery flavor the regular 00 Pinot Gris (tasted on New Years Eve) had going for it. However, it was very smooth, almost velvety. Good match with the Lemon Garlic Bread.

  • 13.5% alcohol. Opened and served without decanting in everyday chardonnay glasses. Very light but clear color of hay. Nose of grapefruit, lychee, passion fruit and a hint of citrus fruits such as orange. Flavors of lychee, grapefruit, mango and papaya. Good balance of acidity and tannins. 88 points. An excellent quaffer to be drank in the short term. Served with prosciutto wrapped sea scallops, fresh honeydew melon, white rice and a field green salad topped with a balsamic vinaigrette. Nice choice Board-O. Mrs. WIML panned it but I enjoyed this wine. Something I don't normally drink.
