Decanted for an hour and drank over 5 hours. Big and burly at start. It became more integrated and smoothed out. Had a wonderful vosne finish towards the end. First of 3. No hurry for the other 2.

this was good but not great, no green meanies, had decent purplish fruit and good acidity but the merdre / barnyard was a little over the top compared to the spice and the fruit, interesting and nice wine but just a touch off base

Excellent structure and vibrancy on the palate; good perfumey nose; just a little age development going on with small forest berry notes and a touch of brown spices and a hint of the classic '04 stemminess. Really elegant nonetheless.

Canele: Dark purple; Med. low intense nose of strong minerals, hint green leaf, hint unripe cherry, cranberry and touch of blk berry; Slight pepper in there, but not complex really, off notes, not seductive. Mth was med., with very strong sour a’s, dusty t’s. Rather mild hollow mid-p. Hmm Like a Bourgogne, a little better next night. Very disappointing. Maybe 86.

Tasted at the domaine. Deeper on the nose than the preceding wines (AOC NSG, Marsannay, Chambolle Feusselottes). Red fruit. On the palate, spicy red fruit. Good acid structure. Medium weight.

Amazing! Much better than the bottle two years ago. Rich, complex and a finish that goes on. Stunning.
