A nose of two halves. Heady and ripe with sappy peach, then some nettle, slightly herbal things punch through. There’s a touch of menthol and almond butter too. It is rich and powerful with excellent depth and length.

Has the green, nettley marker of the vintage. It is rich and layered, with a heady feel. Length is good.

Wine Tasted at Acker Auction (Riverpark - New York, NY): Small pour, brief note. Red fruit, lighter style helps avoid the most green elements of the 2004 vintage, but not particularly nuanced or elegant.

Medium yellow color, looks advanced for its age. Obviously rich but horribly oaky. I could not get past this. Flawed? One can only hope.
