  • Dark lively purple.
Instant regret in opening a bottle way too young and tannic, though accessible and not unenjoyable.
With a few hours air a powerful rocky mineral nose, concentrated multitude of floral scents, a hint of animale, youthful and gorgeous.
Initially the palate is simply fine grained tannin, with time raspberry, , citrus, confection on a mineral acid core as the tannin recedes somewhat. Very ‘13 and very Gevrey, but also very young. Wait 5-10 years.

  • Nose: black cherry, wood toast and funk
Palate:black fruits and good amount of that classic gevrey funk with medium plus acidity and medium plus finish. Integrated tannins and approachable now.

  • Once again a terrific Champeaux from Leroux. The colour is a luminous deep ruby, very impressive, and on the palate there are elegant, fresh, concentrated flavours, fine tannins and good length. Terrific value too. Excellent. Estimated maturity: From 2019
