Deep purple. Meat and tobacco on the nose. On the palate high alcohol, medium acidity, full body. Chocolate, black cherries, black plums, black pepper, sage. Still drinking young. A bit hot and a bit sweet for my palate, but still delicious.

This bottle was especially good; even better on day 2. Fruit; acid, mouthfeel and tannin were all in super balance. Briary berries, big full and complex fruit on the middle and a superb tannic and briary fruit on the finish. Once again, I have found that Matt Cline's Zins continue to develop years after bottling. I give this wine another ten years of great life with a peak in another year or two.

This bottle sung with lots of blueberry and blackberry fruit. It had lots of prickly spice and a full mouth. finish had nice vanilla oak and fruit finish. I drank this after a quite nice Barbaresco and it totally overwhelmed the performance of that vey good wine.

Definitely not a dry red, lots of flavor, berries and cinnamon, medium body slightly sweetish, feels full in the mouth, a very nice finish. I want to see how it tastes 3-4 hours after decanting.

I expected more. Nice briary fruit and crisp acidity (maybe too much). Mouth feel is very big and full but it weighs in a bit hot (not alcoholic Heat). The medium weight tingly tannin is muted by the fruit that hangs on in the finish...I'd rather get that tannin a bit more. 11 more bottles, let's see how it develops.

Fruity, spicy and layered. The complexity shows mostly on the mid palate. I quite enjoyed the spice with several different cheeses
