A very kind replacement by Flowers (great customer service) - wine was surprisingly good and still composed. On the lighter side but bit underwhelming.

Second Sunday Group: Older California Pinots (Barb's): Light crimson color with notes of cherry and cloves, red fruit and spice with a medicinal quality. Slight tannins with lovely red fruit, berry, plum and cherry flavors. Balanced, with good acidity.

Rating of "3" an excellent wine... Themes: 1. Strawberries 2. More strawberries 3. And even more strawberries To my palette....I'd describe this pinot as a perfect wine. No loss of fruit on the nose or on the finish.

The wine has put on some weight and is drinking nicely. deep ruby color with good ripe fruit, cola flavors and excellent acidity. The finish is quite nice and long. Good value pinot and drinking nicely now.

Slightly acidic nose with bright cherry and spice shining through. Aggressive on the front of the palate with some lively tannins, it follows with a strong bright fruit flavor, and a fairly long finish that's somewhat pineappley?

Initial taste reveals gorgeous red berries followed by darker accents. Well balanced (not over oaked like many PNs these days) and refine. Kudos to the wine maker for allowing the fruit to express itself. Worth the $ and wished had a few more in the cellar.

Very good and surprisingly bold pinot with a good QPR at resale prices and even a reasonable QPR at inflated restaurant prices, highly recommend this. Had with Kim and my sister at Michael Mina's Seablue at the Borgata in Atlantic City and it really paired very well without being over-powering or being over-powered by the more solid entrees such as sea bass. Somewhat sweet and bold bouquet of cassis, blueberries, blackberries and soil. Deep purple in color, very smooth and well integrated with still significant tannins and an adequate acidic back-bone with moderate aftertaste. Primary flavors included eath, blue- and blackberries, some mushroom flavors, blood orange and cedar. To the un-initiated this could pass for a light Sonoma cab. Very well done, really have grown to love ths.

Good but for price should be better unless it just needs more time. My first experience with Flowers. Expansive palate but the taste moves around on me a lot but I wouldn't call it complex. Good mix of cherry and dark fruit with a some mineral & slightly deep metallic qualities that turn to a hint of spice.

I expected more from flowers. although great perfume on the nose of the usual cherry varieties, it tasted too sweet on the mid palate and had an almost clipped finish.

Strong nose of ripe cherries and iron minerals. Lighter-bodied and elegant with fresh cherry flavors and a strong note of iron on the finish. Rather cool fruit with decent complexity - I like the style.

Muted cherry, spice, and earth flavors with nice balance and medium body. Medium to short finish. Not at all over blown.
