Decanted off of medium sediment. Dark, smoky plum color with fully bricked rim. Aromas of dark cherry, coffee, and sous bois. Flavors have actually developed and expanded from the last bottle sampled circa 2004, which was all alcohol and tannin. Now, the wine has barrel notes of dill and coffee as well as dark cherry, plum, and a leafy forest floor. Exceeded expectations and a fun foray into history. Drink or hold.

Undoubtedly the single best bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir I've ever had. Much better than another bottle earlier this year. Quite dense and dark color. Moderate fruit on nose to start, unfolds with nice floral aromatics after 20 or 30 minutes. Very Musigny-like. Lots of red and black cherry flavors, with some really interesting smoky elements. Tannins are sweet and perfectly integrated. This wine still has the potential to improve as it develops more secondary charm.

Haven't tried this in a few years. Still lots of structure and really great acidity. Nice flavors of red and black cherry, although the fruit seemed somewhat shut down vs. when i last had this 2 or 3 years ago.

Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Sweet fruit with Asian five-spice on nose. Earthy flavors, slightly dirty. Moderate length. Not close to the level of bottles from several years back, why have I kept my last few this long?
