This has a bigger, more sturdy and rustic nose than the H-N Au Bas de Combe. Spice and smoke, darker toned. Some floral notes, too.
Richer and spicier on the palate. Darker, more intense and rustic.
Ann liked this one more than the H-N. Eric thought it seemed more modern in style than the H-N. We both preferred the cool, elegance and complexity of the H-N.

Cherry reduction, gamey notes, lilac, cassis and rock quarry. So much fruit and stone all throughout, with lovely, slightly layered tannins. Very classy, with the depth that one would expect from a 1er Cru Givry (even though this is a Premier Cru, it is almost at a Grand Cru level in terms of quality). Nice and long, with feminine composure at the end. Cellar, or, decant for at least two hours. Drink 2020 - 2035. 92 points

An excellent, value for money red Burg to put away for a few years ... Drunk over two evenings. Deep ruby, purple highlights. A gorgeous nose. Ripe and rich. Notes of dark cherries, black plums, kirsch and damp peaty soil with a little spice and dry brushwood. On palate, brisk 2013 acidity on the attack. Also quite tannic, with those fine grained tannins presently hiding the fruit. With ~ 3-5 years under its belt it'll be a lovely Burg, I'd think. Very good fruit volume. Dense with serious structure. The flavours are black cherry, raspberries, damp earth and iron with suggestions of cassis.

(seulement 7 hectares...) ...
Deep ruby red. Effusive bouquet of cherry kirsch, candied cherries, mineral, and herbs. Delicious and mouthfilling. For now, the tannins are hidden behind the expressive fruit.

Holder fint og intet hasteværk. Fremstår over gennemsnit for både årgang og appelation.

Kantet og lidt umoden i det. Prøv igen snart, men skal nok ligge længere.

Wine Education Service - Côte Chalonnaise (LSE): Translucent.
Fruity, oaky nose, some animal notes.
Still rather oaky, fruity, worth keeping 3 - 5 years, good length.
