So good but needs a long decant to smooth out and show up. This still has tooth-coating, dusty tannins and salty acidity but shows a lovely velvety texture with excellent intensity and grip. There are delicious flavors of dark fruits, coal dust, tar and garrigue spices and it tastes of the sun and the sea. Such a classic wine that feels almost ageless.

Wonderful vintage of this wine! It needs a good hour or two open for the tannins to soften and then it shows delicious violet/dark cherry fruit with a velvety texture and a classically dry and dusty Bandol finish. There are lovely accents of garrigue spice and sweet tobacco. Hard to stop drinking it.

Really fun to drink - pulled cork about 4 hours before dinner and gave it an additional decant for around one hour prior to serving. Was great - big flavors, open tannins and great, juicy acidity. Perfect with some grilled ribeyes. Love the aromatics. I’ll wait 2-3 years before trying another one but drinking well w/ some air.

Just a superb wine that's loaded with black fruits and fresh herbs. It's young but fully integrated and beautifully balanced with rich flavors but a taut, grippy, salty/mineral-fresh finish. Velvety and long with very enticing notes of liquid granite and garrigue spices. This will last for decades but it's gorgeous now. One of the best wines for aging in the price-point of under $50.

Wanted to check in on this. Decanted but aired <30 minutes. Tight aromas of herbs, plums, spices and minerals. The palate was a bit more expressive with just ripe plums, herbs, cherries, spices, minerals, bark and earth. Prominent tannins on midpalate and finish. Nice lingering finish. Full bodied. This is still way too young but shows great promise. 90+ for now given its tightness but can see this going up 3-4 more points as it improves with more cellar time. Open the next bottle in 5 years.

This is just an extraordinary wine considering the price. Obviously a fantastic vintage, this thickly-textured yet light-on-its feet wine is full-bodied with rich flavors of blackberry fruit, tobacco and garrigue spices. Ethereal and silky-fine with excellent grip on the finish sporting firm dusty tannins and superb complexity with notes of coal dust and Mediterranean warmth and salinity. Perfect now but this will still go a long way. Brilliant Mourvedre for $35.
Wow, I forgot how good this wine can be with a bit of age on it even though this is still young. Really authentic flavors of dark fruits, charred meat, spices, leathers and a beautiful floral lift. Elegantly textured with good succulence and grip and the finish is so perfectly taut with fresh minerals, wild herbs and the sense of salt water running over rocks. Really good with charred steaks.

So very young that it is quite sad to open it this young. Intoxicating nose of dark berries, herbs, meat. Intensity of flavor on the palate makes it seem heavier than it is; plums, woody notes, minerals; chewy high tannin and medium-high acid. The palate does not live up to the nose right now, but it needs a lot of time.

Half bottle. Opaque center that looks like Syrah. Forward nose of blackberry confit and herbs. Full bodied, wonderful amplitude of pure black and blue fruit that just comes in waves without feeling syrupy or heavy due to excellent acidity, furry tannins, and more than anything, a coating layer of earth that clings and lingers for a few minutes after the wine has left your mouth. Delicious but rather simple now; I'd give it another 5 to 7 years, especially considering that this was a small format bottle. Almost identical in quality and character to an '07 I noted a few years ago.

Ripe blackberry, olives, lavender, leather, smoked meat, and tobacco on the nose. Not just any old tobacco and leather, but you know, that kind of really sexy, sweet, luxurious smell. Pretty dense in the mouth, and yet it does not feel ungainly at all; it's not just raw power, but balance and structure too. Seductive, complex, and distinctly provencale. 93 is a conservative score, would love to re-visit in the future.

Grenat foncé, larme qui impreigne les parois. Nez plutôt fermé, mentholé. En bouche, fruits rouge, tanins puissants, plutôt long. Semble avoir du potentiel, mais a attendre plusieurs année. Beaucoup plus facile d'approche le lendemain, avec plus de fruits et des tanins plus dociles. Beau potentiel.

Very very young but also complete. All the check boxes were checked but the wine is just not yet integrated. I cannot wait to see how this Bandol develops.

Outstanding showing. Scorched earth, beef's blood, garrigue, red plum, tobacco, and prune. A wine of terroir and poise.
