Simple but delicious. According to the label this used to be titled "burgundy" until the '93 vintage. By no means is this Pinot Noir, but compared to so many bruising Ozzie Shiraz, this is quite delicate with lots of acidity and sharp red fruit.

from a great vintage, this was not as complex as I remembered from past bottles. Not much perfume here although good fruit and texture. just not that interesting.

Weak nose, with hints of black fruit, liquorice, smoke, and vanilla. Palate is light and acid-forward, with moderate tannin. Nice flavour: strong black fruit with complementary notes of oak and spice.
