There is a nose and taste of berries and spice. It is a light Zinfandel with good acidity that goes well with food. Perhaps a bit underwhelming for a Zin but with decent balance.

A fantastic Zin for the price. Drinking very well now. Food friendly and easily complements many dishes. Smooth from beginning to end with medium bright tannins at the finish.

Lovely wine, super smooth integrated tannins with wonderful black berry and slight pepper accents. Wouldn't wait too much longer to drink, it is wonderful now.
Went great with mushroom ravioli and tomato sauce.

Fruit comes through with plum, berries a bit of spice in pepper. Fruitier and lighter to standard Zins but delicious and top notch with Caribbean spicy grilled short ribs.

{cork, 13.5} Plenty of liquorice and jammy blueberries, but overlaid with a distinct rubbery (pirelli?, bridgestone?) quality which never really went away. Not too sweet on the palate, it's medium/full-bodied, a little hollow beyond the mid-palate, and finishes rather short. Less impressive than last September's bottle; but then it's sealed with a cork, so consistency is pretty unlikely...

Medium-dark red-violet color. Spicy oak leads in the nose, pushed by moderate blackberry and raspberry fruit. On arrival, medium tannin and medium-low acidity. Develops forward fruit in the mouth, not overripe, not goop-y, just fully ripe. Oak spice and a slight bitterness on the finish (seeds and pips over-processed ?) compete for attention. Drank well for an uncomplicated meal of homemade pizza with sausage and olives and a tray of mixed pickled peppers. It's a zin aimed right down the stylistic middle between easy drinking and big. Bottle #3 of four.

Decanted for two hours, found a light bodied, pleasant wine featuring raspberry and cherry flavors accompanied by a modest finish. Mouth feel presented no edges, nor were any significant tannins or oak present. A good QPR and should be pleasing to most at casual gatherings where wine is not the focus.

{cork, 13.5%} All youthful liquorice and sarsparilla on the nose. Jammy. The palate is medium-bodied, largely tannin-free, with minimal oak, some acid, and loads of ripe, jubey blackcurrent and sweet liquorice fruit. It's warm without seeming too alcoholic, and coats the front half of the tongue with flavour; the back palate isn't much troubled. It's a little too polished to be called rustic, but that's its underlying personality. Given the fairly serious structural deficiencies, it's not a wine I'd age for long, but it's decent, flavourful drinking now.

This is all about raspberry. Dark raspberry in color; double line of short legs-a first! Big ripe raspberry nose, pure beam of fruit. Raspberry fruit with some nice spice/herb notes. Nice, complex finish. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.

Takes some time to open up but does improve with air. Deep meaty flavors of blackberry and a little dirt. Dry finish with soft acidity. Decent value for $13.

Cherry, black pepper and that characteristic Dry Creek brambliness (my computer tells me I just made that word up, but you know what I mean) on the finish. Some tannic grittiness on the spicy finish. The brambliness kept me coming back for more. 88

A nice wine with grilled cheese sandwiches with ham. Not an elegant wine; but very drinkable at a great price. A bit fruity, but not too much.

Low alcohol by today's standards (13.5%), but any enjoyable zin. Soft and supple, so it is different from many in-ur-face high alcohol fruit bombs.

Reticent nose. Extremely dry with very dusty and drying tannins. Lack of depth and fruit. May pair well with very well done red meat.
