  • Textbook example of well-made Sta. Rita Hills pinot noir. I find it interesting that, despite the grapes having been destemmed, the wine still has a pleasant olive streak in its aroma and flavor profile. This should evolve nicely for another 3-5 years. (92+)

  • A wonderfully elegant wine expressing red fruit and the classical Melville strawberries but also rainy deciduous forest floor, a lovely earthiness and subtle cherry. The palate adds nicely to the overall impression with an elegant texture, balanced tannins and integrated acidity. With a 50+ second length on the finish, this is certainly a nice wine. It drinks perfectly right now, but will most likely age well for a number of years. I have no experience from cellaring this wine, so I will refrain from giving any specific dates. (score is 93+)
