Saved the last bottle of four to see what some years extra of cellaring would do to a wine like this. Upon uncorking (yes, they used cork for this wine back then), it seemed quite artificial and perfumed. With air the freshness came out however. As expected lower frizziness than the '18, but fruit still vibrant and balanced. Fun!

A great repeat performance. Lighter on fizz and may be turning still, but even as a still, off-dry wine, it's delicious. This producer seems to be scoring on every level of offerings these days.

Visit to G.D. Vajra with Francesca Vaira (Vergne, Barolo): To finish, a good, hedonistic Moscato with a nose of lemon pie and clotted cream. Frothy and fun on palate with similar flavours and creamy creme brûlée. From 45 year old vines, 5.5% alcohol.

Lightly fizzy and quite pale in color. Melon, spice and honey notes are prominent. Sweet, but not cloying. Easy to drink but a little more to it than an average moscato.

I can only reiterate all the praise already expressed by everyone else about this tasty juice. Sweet but with a crisp snap on the end and even a certain savory-ness in its depth. This is not your gandma's spumante. All in all, a lovely package and product. 5+10+18+8= 91

A perfect gift, it's almost impossible a person would not enjoy this wine. Delicate, flowery and with just the right sweetness, works nicely as an aperitif, or with cheesecake or -- even better -- an apple pie.

Tasting at G.D. Vajra (Barolo, Piedmont, Italy): Tropical aromas with apricot and exotic spice. Lively on the palate. Semi-sweet but with enough cut and acid to keep things fresh. On the simpler side.

Lovely, light on its feet, fresh and sweet but far from cloying, had a hard time not being overmatched by a raspberry shortcake whipped cream dessert. Nice!

Most of the elements are there. Flowers, lots of fruit mixed with some honey. Great balance, full long taste and good sweetness. Perfect with fruit cake!

Really beautiful in every sense! White flowers, white peach, slightly pineapple on the noose. Fresh, sweet and a small fresh acidity in the mouth. A blanket, strawberries and yes yes yes.

Pink, almost blush, green tinges too. Nose has sweet red berry fruit, the palate is quite soft by Moscato standards with sweet redcurrants but nice prickly, crisp finish. This is a quality Moscato d'Asti which I'll certainly seek out again.

I feel a bit bad I gave this 83 p. 6 months ago. It's clearly a lot better. This just proves how important pairing is (in this case dessert pairing).
