Decent Pinot; dark color with spicy, woodsy aroma It smells like stoniness, light toast and oak. It tastes like fig, prune and strawberry jam. The body is medium/full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. Overall nothing that dramatic or awe-inspiring

I was poured this at a dog and pony show type tasting in a lousy glass and therefore probably didn't get all it had to offer, but with that caveat: spicy nose promises complexity that doesn't come through on the palate. It is otherwise a decent pinot noir, balanced and a bit earthy. Very good, but closer to basic than special.

I agree with the other posts. Everytime we drink this Pinot, we like it more and more. Smooth, fruit forward with rasberry and plum flavors. This is a very good wine! Check it out.

I like more every time I try it. A bigger bold pinot, well balanced, nice fruit, a bit of earthiness, and nice spice on the finish. one of my favorite $20 - $30 pinots !!!
Ferrari-Carano 2013 Pinot Noir (SRP $36): This is a delicious Pinot Noir made from fruit sourced from Ferrari-Carano’s three ranches in Anderson Valley. It’s crafted by the talented Rebecka Deike who oversees red wine production. Wonderfully aromatic and fruit forward in style, this wine delivers a ripe and effusive mix of sweet cherries and pomegranate with hints of brown spice, rose petals, and soft vanilla impressions on the back-end. On the palate, there’s notable texture and richness, with a fresh kick of acidity holding everything together; closing with a round, generous finish. This is an appealing bottle to match with hearty casseroles, beef bourguignon or homemade meatloaf. Region: Anderson Valley, California. Other info: ABV 14.4%, aged 10 months in 37% new French oak and 63% neutral French oak barrels, cork enclosure.
ARF Wine & Whiskers with Tony La Russa. Nose of red cherry fruit, hints of forest floor, cigar box, and plum, more of the same on the palate, the best Pinot Noir tasted tonight, lovely tasting with the nibbles tonight, medium/big body, long. lovely finish showing good acid, probably will peak in 12 months.

A Taste of Ferarri-Carano Summer Reds: Ruby color with appealing cherry, pomegranate, warm spice, damp earth and sandalwood aromas. On the palate it's medium-bodied and fresh with cherry, raspberry, pomegranate and spice flavors. Medium finish Aged 10 months in 37% new French oak, and 63% older French oak. 14.4 alcohol. Approachable now, would benefit from further aging SRP $36
