One of the FC wines that I truly enjoy. More so than most of the others due to consistency of the wine. Not different here as we opened two of these back to back and they were very differrent. Neither was flawed but the same vintage wine showed different characteristics and acidity/tanins. Not sure how but that is but would rate one 90 and the other 87. I'm giving you the 90 rating for the classic Chianti reserve style of the better of the two. I'm guessing this wine is close to being done and that one's age has started to show sooner than the other.

Still has a lot of cherry and raspberry fruit, that brings freshness to the spice and pencil shavings. Showing a little age as the tannins have nicely integrated and it's showing excellent balance just when it's entering prime drinking window. Drink now-2012. 88 pts.

This wine is in top form. Fruit and tannin blend in perfect harmony. Color now more of a dark purple, with a little fading at the edges.
