Quite disappointing. Opened two bottles, significant variation between them (corks looked exactly the same, so not that). Decanted. Light sediment in both bottles. But one had a very funky nose and devoid of fruit. Both just very flat and disappointing.

Initially a pungent nose of acetic acid. Aerated and decanted. Dark ruby color. After decanting, significant improvement in the nose; the vinegar fragrance was gone. More olive(?) and tobacco(?). Mellowed significantly over the next hour. Showing improvement with age.

Last bottle, sadly. Consistent with prior notes - this is good QPR. Rare to get something drinkable at this price these days (~$10), much less enjoyable.

3.5 Classic Tuscan Sangiovese with strawberry and cherry, cigar box, damp earth, and bramble. A great initial impression leads into a medium-bodied wine with suave texture, refined, gentle tannins, and an impressive finish, particularly at this price point. An ideal weekday wine. Delightful.

An earthy, leathery, forest floor nose leads to a similarly savory palate, with breasola hints adding to the dominant flavors of sous bois and plum. Lively acidity and a hint of mouth-tingling eucalyptus add brightness to the otherwise brooding (but not heavy) palate. For $9, this is great juice from Garagiste.

This wine is perhaps the best QPR I've experienced in a long time. It's very well balanced, smooth and flavorful, if not particularly distinctive. I'm tempted to give it a 90, it probably deserves it. But $8.99 for a wine this good makes it a hands-down everyday drinker.

Agree with prior notes. This is evidence that cheap wine can be good wine. Or good wine can be cheap. Or both. Clean, just a little tobacco, guess I'd agree with strawberries, a little sweet and sour. Very enjoyable weeknight wine.

Just a great basic house tuscan style wine and at 10 bucks a deal. As Vin Chicago said "With classic flavors of wild strawberry, dried flowers, wet leaves and cigar wrapper; medium-plus acidity; great length and wonderful freshness, this is a perfect all-occasion red tuscan style." They said 90 - I say strong 88.

Another nice showing for this medium weight easy drinking quaffer with enough acidity and fruit to be a great food match.

Juicy well balanced and nicely ripe in a medium bodied frame. Great cherry berry sangiovese for a pasta dish.

Solid weekday drinker. Corte alla flora makes a nice vino nobile as well

Really decent everyday Italian red. Nothing complex or exceptional, but for $9 I'm satisfied.

I say very good with pizza but nowhere near being a wine that's "excellent", thus 86 points.
