2016 Annual K&L Tasting (K&L San Francisco Store): K&L Champagne Event, nose of peach, pear, spring flowers, same on the palate, medium/big body, lovely fruit on the mid palate, touch simple, tasty, medium/long finish.

K&L Champagne Tent Tasting (K&L, San Francisco): Elegant, floral, aromatic nose; palate is off-dry, medium acid, nice complexity, white fruit; medium finish. Very nice aromatics and nice complexity, and I kind of even like the higher dosage, but the acidity could be higher. 89-90

We had this after a beef tenderloin dinner on 6/25/16. It had a rich, fragrant bouquet of smoke, apple, pear, bread, mushroom and vanilla aromas. The palate was clean and crisp with flavors of apple, pear, bread vanilla and spice.

Opened by Allred. The 1st of the 2 bottles opened. 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay. 8gm/ltr of sugar. This came off as somewhat flabby and slightly warm. Notes of citrus and toast. 86 points.

My 40th Birthday Dinner (Anvil Club, East Dundee): We sipped on this as we set things up and prepared for dinner. A bit of citrus and orchard fruit with an odd funky quality. Not undrinkable but not at the level of a bottle enjoyed a couple of weeks ago.

4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Our house): I saw this label in the LWS and thought I'd give it a shot for $40. A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier, this displays aromas of sautéed apple, honeysuckle and pastry cream. It's a pale yellow color with a fine bead and flavors of toasted almond, pear, apple and yeast. Has a nice richness on the palate with a good finish.

Developed nose with apple pie, brioche and lemon
Green apples, lemon, minerality, a yeasty touch in a very fresh finish.

Citrus, round, medium length, apples, perfect aperitif wine. Full flavored but not heavy. Lovely.

Simple, dry, acidic. Nothing stands out with this Champagne but it is delicious and quality.

It's OK but you can do better at the price. Little harsh somehow. Probably be better with food.

My 40th Birthday Dinner (Anvil Club, East Dundee): Citrus and mineral qualities with orchard fruit underneath. Nice acidity on the palate with chalk, citrus and green apple.
