15 minutes after opening, not decanted. Too windy outside to gauge the nose, but this has a Velvety mouth feel that reveals crushed stone and red fruit. Weight indicates this is ready to drink, and I’d be cautious on holding onto this beyond 2023.
As the previous CT'ers notes suggest this bottling is starting to peak and the fruit is entering a secondary phase. I still very much enjoy this bottle at this price point. No guilt in grabbing these late night and enjoying over several days which we did. Opened on a Friday and slowly working through this bottle Monday. Opened next to Force Majeure 17 Estate Syrah & Keplinger 16 Petit Sirah Sumo.

Enjoyed from syrah stems. While I’ve been outside for a while on Halloween with a slightly runny nose. This seems like it’s in the heart or far side of its drinking window. Flavors are far less intense than in the first two years after release, but it’s still a very enjoyable wine and would go well with yeah lamb, beef bourginon, or tonight’s shepherds pie.

Very tasty bottle that was drank along side a 2016 Tensley Syrah. This RF Kelly's Cuvee is plush and round but not overpowering and in my opinion is in a great spot enjoy. I'm sure the drinking window has several years ahead.

Pours inky black-purple. Sampled out of several types of glasses and while this definitely had a slightly longer finish out of Syrah stems, the wine was still a bit watered-down and shallow compared to prior vintages of Kelly’s.
Followed over 3 hrs and didn’t see significant change.

This cuvee was very pleasing to drink over three days. I believe this will continue to improve in the bottle as there was no drop off during this window. For the price point this is a great value for the vintage.

Pours jet-black, looks like a classic petite syrah. Whether it’s age or the particular blend, while this is very drinkable it also seems near the end of its life, lacking be depth or tanic backbone generally expected with this varietal.
This is all about the fruit today, and is fine to drink on its own. We enjoyed this with a roasted pork loin, and strikes me is similar to an older Foley cab franc

Can't believe nobody's written a note on this, and embarrassed that this is my 5th bottle down and MY 1st TN. Pours like the black ink you'd expect; with only an hour of air the nose is muted and reveals little and the wine crosses the palate with dark fruit flavors that are dusty-dry and ground pencil lead. After 3 hours of air the wine still has no strong profiles and comes across as more of a rhone than a strong-willed california syrah. Intriguing wine, will be interesting to follow over time.
