This has everything that I love about the 2013 whites plus Blair's light touch. Old school honey, earth and rich orchard fruit all working together with light wood framing it all. Long, complex finish. Last glass was the best. In the middle of its peak window.

This bottle was beautiful, paired oh-so-well with King crab legs, equally lovely on day 2. Lemon-lime, stone fruits, minerality, long finish and the balance and deft I love in a well-made CC.

Like others, I found this very enjoyable but it had the profile of a mid-range Meursault, not a Corton-Charlemagne with that beautiful precision. I think this "is what is is".

Elegant and well drinking wine, which is dense, with citrus and pear elements, some chalk, but also with noisette notes coming from the barrel. Well made, but for a Corton Charlemagne it is too friendly such young with missing cut and length.

Corton(-Charlemagne) study (Chicago, IL): I think the relatively toned down oak treatment on this wine makes it feel a little thinner and lighter than most of the others on the lineup tonight. That's not to say this is a slouch of a wine; it's actually quite nice, though perhaps the breadth on the palate isn't totally there. I like the brighter fruit elements, and there's a gentle acidic lift on the finish. I'm not sure how much of the difference is due to producer or vintage though.

This was very nice tonight with lots of rich green fruit, firm minerality, floral undertones and enough acidity to keep it bright, all framed in unobtrusive oak. The depth on this wine is subtle and delicate. Quite a delight.

2012 Blind Pinot Introspective Retrospective (Chicago, IL): Tasted single blind. Medium nose has a Chablis-like aromatic -- crisp apple and pear, chalk and just a hint of wood. Lean and elegant on the palate with moderate concentration. Lots of citrus and chalky accents. I was guessing this was the Brickhouse given the more restrained, lean character. My #3, Group #3 -- though the 1, 2 and 3 wines were very close for the group.

Chicago Wine Flock...Rich Tests Our Pinot Noir Chops (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind in Chardonnay flight. Floral start, nicely rich while not too ripe, so overall good balance with good textures. i had trouble figuring out if this was a great wine from CA or a good wine from Burgundy (sorry, Blair!), and got it wrong. Very enjoyable right now, but not necessarily a wine to cellar for much longer.

Citrus, hazelnut, some bitter elements, good density, this bottle has more cut compared to the last one I had some months ago. Drinking well.

Sitron, smør, hvit pepper, litt gule epler og mandler. Litt oljelete konsistens. Lang og fyldig med bra kompleksitet
