Drinking while a vertical from 2010 to 2018. Wine was ready to dring as early as 2013 but not after. Meaning better to drink after 10 years in the cellar. Enjoy it.

Was very good. Improved much over time. I wouldn’t wait more, it’s good now and believe it will deteriorate if you keep it. I kept some in the fridge for the days after and it was not good (taste too old when oxygenated 1 -2 days)

Decanted but barely any sediment. Deep dark ruby red with a tinge of garnet. The nose is sour cherry, mulberry, green pepper, dusty dirt road and a slight smokiness or charcoal. Medium bodied, uber dry, chalky tannins, elevated acidity and a tart red fruit finish. The flavours are dried, tart red fruits, bell pepper, oak splinters and strong black tea. This is so dry - like Gobi desert dry! Not nearly enough fruit left to flesh it out and give it balance. Well made and basically holding up in its latter years, but this is definitely a food wine and not an easy sipper.

Some bricking noticeable. Nice Bordeaux-like nose. Some acidity on the palate which one would expect from a northern climate, but not problematic. Some noticeable tannin on the finish still. Enjoyable with flank steak. Ready to drink but will hold.

Consistent score & notes from previous tasting. Cab Franc note quite prominent. I am still amazed how ripe/not green this is given the general problematic vintage in the Okanagan

Very deep black raspberry colour. Great legs. Strangely similar to the much older 2002 with meat, iron, oiled leather and black cherries on the nose. Very dry, lots of tannic bite, dried black and red fruits and leather on the palate. Slightly hot. Somewhat Right Bank overall stylistically. Seems to be on a fast evolutionary track.

I think this was not decanted long enough, as it only breathed in the bottle for about an hour before dinner.
Over the course of dinner it did settle into a very balanced wine that started full of earth and vegetation but expanded into darker berries. Mid tannin, mid body and a medium plus finish that paired extremely well with the potatoes, cheese, steak (made this a 90 point wine) but did not work well with the apple/kale salad.
This is being marked as an 85 to help us make better wine buying decisions. This is a very good wine, but I would not choose it over other wines we have rated at 90+.
We have 4 bottles left and that may change with a more intentional meal and evening with these wines, but I think we would lean towards a super tuscan or a more traditional bordeaux if we wanted old world, or a californian if we wanted big berries.

Decanted 2 hours before drinking. Ripe cassis, powdered cocoa, mocha, powdery tannins, good acidic lift. Surprisingly ripe given the vintage. Every bit the equal of classed Bordeaux. Drinkable now but long life ahead of it.

Long mais asséchant.

A bit unbalanced, as I’ve found with this wine in general but I wouldn’t wait longer for this vintage. Good wine but there are better. Drink up.

Earth/forest bouquet with some chocolate. Body is soft to start and flavours round out. Slight leather and tobacco, blackberry, caramel and chocolate.
