garnet-ruby colour with moderate meniscus, medium body and appreciable sediment. balsamic notes waft thru a nose of dark, ripe plum and berry compote with leather and dried herb accents. in mouth it is dry, medium-plus bodied, moderately structured, and less fruity than the nose would suggest. the fruit, as it gains in concentration in the mid-palate has a slightly stewed, balsamic quality and is laced with earthy, leathery notes. it has good length and moderate heat.
[the colour and nose indicate a somewhat mature wine… say about 10 years old. the colour would also indicate a light-skinned varietal, while the combination of alcohol and fruit intensity would indicate moderate climate. the taste profile rules out Nebbiolo, Gamay, Pinot Noir and Sangiovese, leaving Grenache in contention. from there things get a bit tricky: it does have some ageing Rhone characteristics but is not quite a CdP; the profile is of a cooler climate than Spain; and there is not enough fruit to be California. i guess Rhone incorrectly… and am pleasantly surprised to find it's Australia/ Clare Valley].

Cata de Garnachas de ASVASU. Capa media/alta.

Aromatic red berry nose with notes of spice and clay. Med-full bodied with ripe fruit flavours and marked acidity to balance. Easy-drinking, fruity finish. 3/5

Nice ... Typical Grenache, medical smell, quite strong taste, balances, non sharpness, sweet, very nice.

Not sure how I found this wine but I loved it. It takes different from my normal wines. I recommend it. I enjoyed it with grilled meat.

Pale in glass
Ripe nose, controlled floral and sweet berries
Smooth texture, hints of oak, with spice, blackish fruit tannins and more spice

Nice one, very smooth and easy to drink on its own. Could have a little more power in the end. Drink now or within the next 3-4 years.
