Djup röd färg med doft av björnbär, svarta vinbär och svartpeppar. Låg strävhet och fyllig smak av mörka bär som björnbär, svarta vinbär och mörka körsbär. Smakerna lever kvar länge i munnen.

Gidgondas and Lirac (Chris H's home): The basic bottling. Ruby in color, purple swirls. The nos has dark cherries and black olives. Sweet black raspberry fruit on the palate. It seems pretty ripe almost candied. Firm tannins. It is solid. Not much depth. Easy drinking. $23 is a little high for the quality IMO but within reason.

Yolanda's Birth Month Wines (Chagrin Falls): A winner in every vintage, they managed to make an outstanding second wine in 2014. $23. This was the star of the regular tasting. Nose of black cherries and black raspberries with some spice. On the palate, this is big enough fruit but also well delineated. Black cherries and some black pepper. very nice texture. Good balance. Long finish. Really drinking well right now.

Nice Rhone flavors but a little hot. Thought at first it was over the hill but day 2 was similar. No reason to hold, drink up.

The '14 vintage tried hard and the wine is friendly, but misses the conviction the following vintage will absolutely offer.

Sublime. Had with baked red bell peppers stuffed with tiny tomatoes, anchovies, black olives, ricotta and prime olive oil.

The 2014 comes across masculine and spicy, though it needs a little more harmony and was a tad brutish at first.
