Nose: Fresh green peppers and ham on the stove Taste: Dirt and ink followed by freshly ground pepper. Some mouthfeel is gone but the echoes still remain.

purple red, brown tinted rim; earthy, cherry nose; terroir; blue berry, mineral on the palate; got weight and structure; clean; spicy and soft tanin finishing; easy to drink; enjoy now...

Faint aromas of cedar, menthol and a bit of violet. On the palate it's berry, vanilla and tobacco. Short finish. This was an end of bin special at $11, for that price it's a fair value.

I think this wine can be best described as thin. Not much of a nose and practically no finish. slightly plumlike, but again, all flavors are light. But on the other hand, what it did show was pleasant for for $10, it's passable.

Bricking red. Ripe berry nose with oak, perfume, medicinal herbs and quite some clove. Medium bodied palate with refreshing acidity and slight tannic grip. Ripe but bright berry fruit, sous bois and some bitter notes towards the aftertaste. Quite ok if nothing that special.

Ruby red in colour this Syrah has aromas of vanilla and toasty oak on the nose. The palate is bold and acidic. Berry fruit, spice and pepper abound. Went well with the smoked Belgian cheeses, but not a particularly refined wine.
Tasted aboard Eurostar from Brussels Midi to London Waterloo.

Mid red in colour this Syrah has aromas of red fruit and alcohol on the nose. The palate is fairly raw. Some blackberry fruit and spice, but lots of tannin. Not very structured or well balanced.
Tasted in the Grand Tasting at the 10th Decanter Fine Wine Encounter, Landmark Hotel, London.

Much better bottle than last time. Still those peperry, a bit stemmy flavors, but fresher and much more rounded.

Acidic with slightly green, stemmy tannins. Berries (currant, cherry, raspberry) and spices (pepper). Good.

Perfectly adequate wine, but in the end it's just another lightweight, plastic corked summer quaffer. Berries, oak, little concentration.
