my wife described it as sour; i found it white burg style and interesting ... a different california chard for sure ... if you want big butter ball, this is not it

Exceptional 2013 vintage, paired very well with our Italian Chicken dinner. Several years left in this vintage (rather than the 2017 community consensus), am submitting this with a 2020 end-date.

My favorite Chard! Wonderful layers of flavors carefully balanced with a nice oak finish. Excellent with creamy sauces and seafood dishes. A must-have!

A wonderfully interesting Cali chardonnay. On the one hand, it's floral and refreshingly green, with what I suspect the slate from our cellar floor would taste like, i.e., with a nice minerality. On the other hand, there's a fullness, a richness, a breadth that you find in the best chardonnays, whether from Sonoma or Burgundy. I started collecting the Walker Hill with the first vintage in 2011. I tried the 2013 just to see how it's playing so close to release. Suffice it to say, it was quite lovely. However, it also proved up what I've learned from the two prior vintages: tastes quite good upon release, but it's a wine that will age and add new complexities if you can give it some time. 92-94 could be on the horizon. Well done, Dutton-Goldfield! Thank you.

basically consistent with notes of 11/4/2015, but noticed more lemon curd at this stage.
