A bargain ($16) for what it is. Granted, this isn't a particularly complex or impressive Bordeaux, but it is decent, and this is a relatively cheap way to enjoy the classic flavor profile of an aged Bordeaux wine. Improved with air.

Almost 14 years old and still hanging in there. Must have been powerful, well made, and balanced in it's youth. A little musty on the nose, but OK. Some forest floor. Plenty of leathery, flinty, dark fruit, but also some red raspberry. The cinnamon and cocoa secondary and tertiary flavors are still developing. The acid is fading so you feel a little alcohol on the finish. Makes you want to take another sip.

This wine aged well. Typical bordeaux. Decent nose and flavor and very smooth finish. Great buy.

- Crimsom color with a medium body with a medium finish - Definitely needs time to open up before drinking. Very smooth, not as complex as I like.
