Pnp. Garnet color that you can see through in the glass. Nose - dark cherry and medicinal herbs. Palette - good acidity and with some grip, medium bodied. Decidedly a food wine - had with pizza with friends last night and everyone liked it a lot. Don't think there's further evolution on this but I'm sure it will keep for a few more years

This was bright ruby colored, medium bodied, black cherry and red berry fruits with notes of floral, a bit of sweetnesss with spicy cinnamon, licorice and hints of white pepper with soft tannins on a crisp clean tangy finish

While this was a good drinkable wine for a Brunello I was actually a bit disappointed in its overall quality especially the finish. Medium to light bodied with tremendous fruit forward characteristics throughout the bottle. Lots of cherry, and lighter fruits while its finish was lacking as was its depth. I'm not quite sure if holding this will improve it. Enjoyable but I have had substantially better brunellos.
Coravin. Medium ruby; medium intensity aromatics with black cherry, slight spice, not much else complexity; palate is medium bodied, red fruited, balanced, elegant medium acidity and medium to medium-plus alcohol (14%?); short-medium finish. Balanced and drinkable are good words for this, but it lacks intensity, complexity, and length. 85

This reminds me of the 2010 which I bought a 6er of. It's so refreshing and light and drinkable. Almost like a kutch pinot or even a dark rose of some sort. Although this does have tannins and some leather which brings it back to Italy. Roses and sour cherry and leather dominate. This is just a nice wine to serve on the cold side, and drink in the near term.

Brunello di Montalcino 2013 tasting (Restaurant Vineum, Rotterdam, NL): Tasted blind. Mature but lively appearance; light but layered nose; supple and juicy palate, light tannins, fruit-driven (for a Brunello), elegant style but also lacks some power; relatively light flavours and finish.

Dry riesling at Qing Xiang Yuan (Chicago, IL): Slightly high-toned aromatics, with a nice floral touch but also a mild hint of balsamic. A touch of menthol as well, with an overall lightness that's quite nice. The palate has a little bit of that same perfumed quality, with a nice bit of acidity to help cut through the fairly generous fruit.

Had this while in Rome, was amazing with dinner. Paired perfect with many dishes. This is not rustic by any means, and to be honest not really what I expected in a Brunello. That said the wine was great, lots of cherry, clean and fresh, medium body, lighter tannin, good acidity, for me reminiscent of chambolle musigny village wine. Probably not a wine to hold and age but great now.

At Tasting Event (short TNs)...Mid-weight with a pop of flavor in the middle that bursts, but is short-lived. Surely a with food wine it seems. Twas ok, not yet together enough for me to score per my palate and being at a tasting I shall avoid faltering this wines score and being not familiar too much with Fanti shall not state of its future. I do wonder it that pop of amazement is what will come through the entire nose to sip if cellared to peak. Hmm, now I am curious...anyone know? Wine Strategies, can you help me on this one you seem to be up on Fanti?

A Season of Change: 2013 Brunello di Montalcino: The nose was airy and fresh with sweet cherry and dusty floral tones. On the palate, I found a soft textural experience, as ripe berry and sweet spice combined with brisk acidity to create a very forward and “easy-to-like” expression. The finish was medium-long and energetic, with ripe berry and spice tones lasting throughout. I can’t imagine this wine maturing over the course of decades, but I’m not sure that matters with how enjoyable it is already.

Benvenuto Brunello NYC (Gotham Hall): Benvenuto Brunello NYC. A baby, sure, but one with promise. Having had nearly 20 years of this wine at release, I think I know some promise when I see it. And while this is a bit awkward - tart, thinner middle, etc. - now, it's got very good tension, above-average purity, crisp red fruits and really fresh acidity. Another 3-5 years, and this will have filled out, have added more complexity and weight. For those of you that already know this wine, buy it early and buy a good quantity, it's going to treat you right - in time. Love the light, bright garnet>ruby color. Thru 2031+ recommended+
Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello NYC. Medium garnet. Modern with a good bit of oak. Light nose and palate with mostly licorice, cherry and minerals in addition to the oak/vanilla. Could use more structure and depth of flavor.

One of the most drinkable wines that I have ever had. Not that rich in flavor and aroma but still very clean, sharp and pleasant. Great surprise!

Ripe, forward nose, old barrel, juicy sweet/tart cherry. Mouth watering acid. Simpler style of brunello, but easy to enjoy.
