Pop and pour yesterday, on the counter unrefrigerated overmight. Notes from 24 hrs open. Higher ABV (14.2%) than expected. On the nose: some high-toned red fruit, herbs. On the palate: ok acidity, maybe a touch flabby, soft red fruit, herbs, attenuated tannin on the finish. Not my favorite Qupe syrah: ok typicity.

Consumed over a couple of nights, this has the Lindquist label, but is the Qupé. Though the cork was a bit dry, cracking in half, the wine was in great shape. Classic SBC. Touches of California warmth and NoRo character that builds over time (days) with air exposure. What a great find in a Lindquist "mystery" case.
